Mad Hatter is an AAS award winning pepper variety from Johnny's Seeds. The unusual shaped peppers have a sweet flavor with floral and citrus notes. This variety is only mildly hot near the seed cavity at 1,000 Scoville units, which makes it great for flavoring hot sauce and salsa without adding too much heat. Big bushy plants will need the full summer into fall to ripen to red, but the wait will be worth it.
