Jalafuego jalapeno peppers are very productive and produce flawless and smooth peppers with great flavor. Excellent adaptability and disease resistance. Jalafuego gets its name from the good amount of heat it possesses. Jalafuego registers at about 8,000 Scoville Heat Units, which puts it at the top of the scale for jalapenos. We grow this variety every year and love to make homemade sriracha with the peppers after they ripen to their bright red color.
