Description
Hopi Red Dye amaranth is a beautiful variety that features small tassels of red flower bracts and purple tinted leaves. This variety was originally used as a dye plant for the Hopi nation in the Southwest. The leaves, stems, and flower spikes can be soaked in water overnight and the resulting colorful water can be used to dye fabrics or foods.
